NONIQ | A Review Blog

Nah,
mengejar predikat blog terKEREN, kira-kira pernah ngga tersirat:

n nama blogger. Namanya blogger,
3) Peka Terhadap Naluri Meliput.

BLOGGER DAN NOTEBOOK: A PERFECT MATCH

Kemana-mana mengenakan kaos BLOGGER sambil menjinjing NOTEBOOK kecil nan tipis. Asli, deh, yakin lengkap banget jadi blogger!

T : Saya ngeblog tapi saya ngga punya notebook, bagaimana dong?
A : Ya, berarti tingkat kerennya belum maksimal #hoho
T : Tapi kan harga notebook itu mahal! Lagipula saya sudah punya PC di rumah.
A : Ok, coba kita bandingkan.

Anak rewel pingin main? Apa salahnya meminjamkan Acer Aspire E1-432 untuk si buah hati, dengan RAM DDR3 sebesar 2GB (upgradable to 8GB) dengan harddisk SATA berukuran 500GB, Acer Aspire E1-432 akan menemani buah hati bermain game hingga 4 jam tanpa perlu khawatir ngehang dan "memory full".

Pasangan masih ragu untuk mengizinkan emak membeli notebook ini, yuk saya teriakkan lagi harganya:
4 jutaan, makkkk!!!! Garansi FULL 3 tahun (termasuk service dan spareparts).

Ayo diborong!

Few years ago my mom often received vary of free souvenirs from relatives who went to Holy Land, among them was dead sea-black mud mask. Well, I never thought joining my mom to apply it on my skin, it looked disgusting judging from its appearance (black and muddy, no wonder) so I was let her doing that alone and watched it. Now, I regretted all my acts! Why? Cause I've just realized: what a waster. So many advantages our skin would obtain from dead-sea. Aw, I wish I had the same interest to try dead sea mask too back then since too bad, we never received that anymore, #sob!

But, hey, I received this free offer a while ago, a dead-sea black mud soap!

A twitter account contacted me some times ago offering a free black mud soap worth IDR 50,000 (US $5), they said I only need to pay the shipping which cost IDR 12,000 (US$ 1). Actually I was hesitate whether that was for real, but in the end decided to give it a go. Why not? You don't get this everyday. Also I've asked (interrogated in disguise) other twitter accounts who looked like ever tried the products and received similar offer (since they looked having real conversation/'mention' with the seller about the transaction), they answered that this seller is recommended and how the product is absolutely works out.

So, here! I got the soap! You can check their store here. Very small.

Observing the soap physically, it has no scent at all, has a smooth surface and doesn't contain any scrub.

What makes me curious was, the appearance look different from the picture on their website about the soap. It doesn't have 'Jericho' word carved on the soap, in fact no word at all. I tried to confirm this with the seller but their answer added another question mark. They said that they are selling "Beauty is Mine" brand, not "Jericho", but how come they claim their product as "Jericho" skin care. Scam? Fake? I don't try to accuse, just wondering if someone can clear this up.

Jericho Skin Care Apperance from the website
Well, I tried to be ignorance and decided to share the soap with my mother (as usual), so we both can use this together. But unexpectedly, this soap can't be cut! Otherwise, it broke into pieces, how annoying. It's really fragile.

Oh well, whatever then, I gathered the pieces, hoped for I could join them again. But sadly, it won't blend just like regular soap, how unlucky.

After all, I tried this soap onto my body and face. It produces less foam than any other soap, which I dislike. I love foam. And the result? I didn't feel any, no significant result, just so-so.

I have several acnes but it won't reduce or even heal it, doesn't work on my scars and blemishes too. Ah... How suspicious. Because when I browsed over Jericho website, dead sea black mud could result glowing skin, healing power over psoriasis, eczema, and acne, also hydrating, anti-aging treatment, and get rid of impurities.

I'm (just) so curious over this product, I won't buy another one.

Ngaku! #maksa.

Most Indonesian women must have known Sariayu Martha Tilaar brand, for its massive beauty products ranging from skincare to makeups. Since my mother era and now me, and even today, this brand has reached multiple generations not only 40's and 30's but also teens (though with different brand-series). Sariayu products, well, for me personally, really know well the condition of most Indonesian's women skin; lives in tropical country with brown/yellow skin color. That's why once I got to know make-ups, I would choose this brand, not only because their popularity but also it's affordable.

So, today I want to review one of their make-up products: alas bedak kuning langsat or in English, 'foundation' for yellowish/olive skin color.

Product Description
Name : SARIAYU Alas Bedak Energizing Aromatic Kuning Langsat
Brand : Sariayu Martha Tilaar
Availability : Common, in Indonesia (every department store) - online store
Price : ~IDR 7,000-9,000

Well, as you see the price is less than US$ 1, this was my main reason why I bought this. I used to wear foundation from my dermatologist back then (as a skincare) and one time I decided to leave all my prescription and start using common products.

I found this product easily in department store in my city, I thought way this was cheap compared to other foundation from another brands. It claims to contain sunscreen (Well, I notice there is titanium dioxide written in ingredients) and moisturizer to keep skin subtle and smooth. Quiet promising, I thought.

The packaging is made from plastic, easy to open and even to squeeze. The cream would come out easily. Yes, it's in cream form, not to thick, quiet easy to apply. But, always remember to put the cover on after you use it, since the leftover cream around the tube would dry quickly and clog the hole.

To begin with, I have some acne scars, redness and big pores to cover. This foundation luckily match my skin tone pretty well. But always make sure to use sunscreen since I'm not really sure about its spf value. Anyway, my skin can be so dry sometimes so I have to apply my moisturizer first before using this foundation, otherwise it will leave white cast in certain area and difficult to blend.

This covers my face skin for around 3-4 hours during daytime (with 23-25 deg C, my city temperature) before I have to re-apply my powder to cover my imperfect skin. The good thing, it doesn't leave my skin oily but be careful to remove this foundation completely when the day ends, or you will find your skin dull.

Rate : 3.5/5

Will I buy this? Yes.
Personally because this is cheap and I can use this when I don't need to be outside, under the sun exposure (perhaps, night occasion). Eventhough it couldn't last for more than 3 hours, but for the first 2 hours, it has a good coverage, and I love it. I don't recommend to use it for day-time activities since I don't know about the percentage of its sunscreen.

Well, compared to other foundation product/BB Cream which usually cost more than US$5, this one is pretty good for a beginner in make-up like me and for daily practice how to use foundation properly ^^

See you!

I was thinking to make an easy dish this morning. I recently have no time for mixing spices nor cooking Indonesian's dishes that contain coconut milk; gulai, rendang, opor, you name it -yes, my bf's fave! So it was another challenge for how I should combine my chicken and bean sprout within 30 mins, and this is what I got!

Thanks to Resep Aneka Ayam for distributing this recipe, however I did some modification due my personal taste.

Ingredients:

250 grams of chicken , cut into pieces (suggested: boneless chicken breast)
250 gr bean sprouts, remove the stringy tail
2 scallions, cut
4 garlic, minced
1 tsp sweet soy sauce
1 tsp worcestershire sauce (saus inggris)
sugar
pepper
salt
Oil for sauteing
Chicken broth

How to:

1. Fry chicken, until it becomes brownish, set aside.
2. Heat oil and saute garlic until fragrant, put chicken.
3. Add scallions, worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, salt, sugar, pepper, and broth , mix well.
4. Last, add bean sprouts, mix & cook briefly for another 2-3 minutes. I'd rather to keep the bean sprouts half-cooked. Ready to serve!

Happy October!
October will be the most remarkable month for me, I have so many to-do list on this month and hope that I can go through all, how about you?
To encourage myself being ready for this hectic month, I choose this red plaid to be my mood booster. My last time wearing this skirt was on last December. People usually relate this flannel with winter but I live in tropical, so I guess I need a little change.

Try to fit it with 28 degree C, I choose a very this comfy, thin, and (my favourite) ruffled shirt. Bought that on a local online store I never found how to combine it, but afterall it works good with the plaid.

Hope you're having a great day!
