Dorothy Perkins Styling Competition

Stripes are everywhere!
I love the fact that stripes work to enhance our look by creating an illusion in our body proportion. I love experimenting with stripes a lot, moreover a black/white one. It looks so easy to modify (yet tricky in other parts) but you can almost wear for every occasion.

Stripe Jersey Skater Dress - Dorothy Perkins. Check

So, here I'm joining Fimela x Dorothy Perkins Styling Competition (Indonesia only) to create 2 looks inspired from Dorothy Perkins Style Essentials 2014 collection. Checking at their collection, I immediately fall in love with their simpleness and the way they claim this collection as wearable for whatever occasions. Superb! Joining this contest, I hope for winning a gift voucher to buy all of DP thingies! Haha, I mean it. Considering I have mostly clothes that pretty hard to mix'n'matched with :( having some of DPSS14 collection would be a blast and grace for my cabinet.

And as for my pick, I'm greatly in love with their Stripe Jersey Skater Dress, too bad I haven't own it :( But, still let me have my faith for I could see it in my dress-cabinet someday, please wish me luck!

As a replacement, my mom has another stripe dress which looks (almost) similar with DP so obviously I use this for my basic (an unbranded one though, bought it in a local store in Bandung). Now, please kindly check my 2 looks. The first theme is about making the stripe dress for formal/professional occasion, while the other one is creating a playful and refreshing look. Hope it turns out good on me.

  1. I saw a similar dress on ASOS actually! I really like how you have the horizontal and diagonal stripes, gives the dress a bit more character. I love both looks! The first white blazer definitely compliments the monochrome colour scheme, but i also love how you added colour to your second look as well! Great job :) x
